Sacramental
Project Summary and Rubric
Each student will create an original sacramental. Your
sacramental should be something that you will
treasure as a reminder of your faith. It could remind
you of the Blessed Trinity, Jesus, the Virgin Mary
or a favorite Saint. It could symbolize a specific
sacrament or Holy Day of Obligation. Please use
references from the New Testament or our Catholic
Tradition. Supplies may be purchased. Directions may
come from the internet or other source. A sacramental
may not be purchased. Fr. Nathan will bless the sacramentals that
meet the criteria.
Good example:
-Beads from Grandma’s necklace used as beads for new rosary
-A painting on canvas
-A cross welded from nuts and bolts, made with a grownup’s help
Bad example:
- Rosary that you purchased
- A drawing on lined paper that you did on the bus on the way to school
- A cross that your mom made for you because you were too lazy to do your homework
